Taylor Swift’s Absence at Chiefs-Chargers Game Turns Heads One Day After Rumored ‘Breakup Date’

Swift was not seen on the broadcast at Sunday’s game.

Taylor Swift appears to be taking another week off from watching boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs in person, and the timing of her absence is turning some heads online.

Swift was not seen as the Chiefs traveled to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers on Sept. 29. The pop superstar had already skipped the team’s Week 3 win over the Atlanta Falcons, with The Sun tabloid reporting she had scheduled some time with friends

“Going to the game in Atlanta wasn’t possible because she had scheduled time with some friends, like Gigi Hadid, whom she spent time with on the weekend, and other friends that she hasn’t seen in a while,” The Sun wrote.

The Sun added that Swift was expected to return for the team’s Week 4 game, but she was not seen entering SoFi Stadium and not shown on the television broadcast.

As The Daily Mail noted, some fans took note of the curious timing of Swift’s apparent absence. The game was one day after a leaked document claimed they had a planned breakup announcement on Sept. 28

“Sunday’s Week 4 game sees the Chiefs take on the Chargers, but – interestingly – also comes just one day after the date of Kelce and Swift’s supposed ‘break-up’ in the leaked ‘contract’ between the pair,” the report noted.

Added The Daily Mail: “It is widely believed that the contract was fake, and Kelce’s camp were quick to call it ‘entirely false and fabricated’, but the denials have not stopped fans waiting with bated breath to spot the pair together for the first time since.”
